With the flexibility of designing own ring slings, we have customized and produced so many Designer Pocket Ring slings for our customers over the past few months. Also due to the spread of word of mouth, we see an increase of demand in our Ring Sling. Produced using a tough cotton, Ditte is extremely supportive especially when you carry a heavy weight baby on your shoulder. We have also added very light padding to ease the burden off the shoulder, so it is more comfy and yet not too bulky.

Black Cotton Ditte
Vibrant petals with crunchy sound when squeeze by babies
I have been wanting to do something like this, for quite some time. Often we see babbies play mats with touch effect, with different kind of fabric so that it product different texture when babies touch them. I remember seeing some even with squacking sound effect when the babies squeeze on it. Of course, it is not gonna be appropriate to have such sound on the tail of the ring sling, but a little bit of crinkle at the petals can be fun for babies too.
My first design of the Crunchy Petals is done on a black cotton Ditte ring sling, for a striking effect to the vibrant flowers. Crunchy Petals is also available in Cream White or Orange background.

Guess the picture above tells it all
Instead of having the products made by factory workers, on machines in smoky and noisy environment, all Mama Patch products are produced with so much touch of love, from the babies saliva *joking*, kids yelling, cry and laughter!
Yes, being at stay-at-home mum, I have 3 kids to tend to. Each moment with the kids is indeed very messy, especially when I am working in right in the middle of my living hall in our home sweet home, (sorting out the raw materials, design, rings color matching, packing and stuffs) surrounded by the kids. Thank God I do not have to sew the slings as my tailor friend, Yen will responsible for that.
Even my 5 yr old girl could now provide a lending hand, in someway. Although she is too young for most things, at least she could accompany me to shop for fabric, packing the slings, thread the label and tags, help me sorting out the tiny weeny buttons for the cloth pads, Mama Patch Modern Cloth Pads. She was even telling me luckily I have a daughter so at least there is someone to help out instead of messing up *referring to the boys*!

Babywearers today are so much luckier than those days when I had my girl 5 years back. Knowing that each of us has different preference towards our ‘wearing style’ , Mama Patch take an extra effort to allow babywearers of today to customize their own ring slings.

Some said it is convenient to wear a Ring Sling with pocket, where babywearers can put light baby belongings (wipes, pacifier, and even some cash) in it. I tested it myself, and hey, it is true. It is really convenient for me as I usually do not have pocket on my clothing. So I can just keep some cash, and my cards that I need.

Although silk is more prefered when it comes to choosing a ring sling in the west, I find that people in our country somehow prefers cotton. Not sure if it is lack of knowledge on types of silk, or somehow most of us think that silk is hot and sticky. I have been learning a lot about silk and till today, I still cannot find any fabric that is more comfy than the silk I am currently using for Mama Patch Ring Sling.
Although Mama Patch Ring Sling has got a range made from very good sturdy cotton fabric, I am still searching for alternative cotton material for Mama Patch Ring Sling. Perhaps I should check out cotton sateen that is available in our fabric store to see if it suits sling making.

I have always wanted to do something like this, a good embroidery with a simple motif design by done by free hand. And I am proud to see the result of my first piece of masterpiece. Thanks also to Yen, my sewing team who manage to embroidered the motif exactly accordingly to my free-hand sketch!
Since each piece would be uniquely design and embroidered, it would be quite a tedious and timely for Yen to do embroidery on many pieces at one time. Perhaps with the limited slings, I should keep them exclusively only available at Mama Patch.

Colorful Ditte – Bright orange NEW!
Although beige and red ditte are one of the best selling Mama Patch sling, I am so tempted to try more colors available. There are great colors like Off White, Bright Yellow and even Dark Blue. But I still love beige the best, which I was told no longer available in the market.
Ditte is made of 100% imported very sturdy cotton. This fabric gives a very good support to bigger babies and yet soft enough to ensure baby’s comfort while resting in Mummy’s nest. It certainly not easy to shop for great fabric, at least when it is labelled as Mama Patch Ring Sling. Off White Ditte will be the nearest color to Beige Ditte. It probably can bring out the Lusy Flower even better than Beige Ditte.
Wonder what wearers would think about wearing an off white ring sling.
