Cloth Soakers

Soakers (reversible)
– (top piece only. A MUST HAVE FOR ALL CLOTH PAD USERS)

If you have not seen our Washable Soaker (made of 3 layers flannel), you must really check this out. Priced at only Rm8/pc, many of our cloth customers find this soaker so useful on their heavy days. Tips collected from Mama Patch Cloth Pad Users:

  • By adding a piece of this on top of the pad of your regular pad, it will last longer especially on outings so you do not have to change so often
  • Instead of changing every fresh piece which could be costly, you can just remove your soaker and continue using the fresh one at the bottom.
  • Get frustruated when you oozed out the jelly blood clot AGAIN just after a fresh change? With a soaker on top, you just have to simply remove this little soiled piece instead changing the whole pad.

These soakers can also be used as liners as long as you remember to hold it on when you go to the loo. However they are not recommended since it comes without a snap and it could easily slip into the toilet when you remove your undies.

Custom Made Cloth Pads/Liners

Due to overwhelming response to our floral prints, we now extended our range of these prints to cloth liners as well. Also to thank to the support of some of our regular customers, we now accept custom order (just let us know your desire length for pads/liners and we will make them for you) for the day pads and liners too. Just allow us about 3 days to do them nicely for you.

Right way of washing your Flannel Cloth Pads

IMG_2934

Since I have been these pads for almost a year (I even throw them into the washing machine), I was quite alarm when I received feedback from 2 customers on how the laminated waterproof backing on their cloth pads has peeled off.  Thanks for sharing this useful info, girls!

See picture above: Laminated fabric peeling off

Light rubbing (cloth on cloth) with hands  if you must BUT REMEMBER, PLS DO NOT SCRUB!

1. On the flannel surface

I tried scrubbing on the surface of the flannel but instead of removing stains, I made it worst. The texture became rough and the surface pills. Although it still feels the same during wearing, but I hate it as it looks ugly.

2. On the waterproof backing

As we use laminated fabric for waterproofing (although tough enough to withstand the spinning of washing machine), this fabric certainly cannot be scrubbed.

Also do remember to read the Washing Instruction carefully on the packaging label before you use your cloth pads.

How to wash:
1. Rinse (squeeze your pads under running COLD water until water runs clear)
2. Soak if stain (with light soapy water/ tap cold water)
3. Wash together with your clothing (although it is machine washable, you can also hand wash for a longer life span)

The Art of Needlework

Cream white Ditte Ring Sling with a touch of Needlework

With a contrasting black flower motif

See more details of the Art of Needlework

I have always wanted to do something like this, a good embroidery with a simple motif design by done by free hand. And I am proud to see the result of my first piece of masterpiece. Thanks also to Yen, my sewing team who manage to embroidered the motif exactly accordingly to my free-hand sketch!

Since each piece would be uniquely design and embroidered,  it would be quite a tedious and timely for Yen to do embroidery on many pieces at one time. Perhaps with the limited slings, I should keep them exclusively only available at Mama Patch.
